NOVA reopens applications for the Entrepreneurship Academy — a free online course open to all
Registrations for the fifth edition are open until 31 July 2026, on the NAU platform.
NOVA University Lisbon has opened registrations for the fifth edition of the Entrepreneurship Academy, a free online course available on the e-learning platform NAU. The initiative is aimed not only at the academic community, but at anyone interested in developing skills in management, entrepreneurship and business creation — in Portugal or abroad.
A flexible course, in Portuguese, accessible from anywhere
Delivered in Portuguese with English subtitles, the Entrepreneurship Academy is structured into six modules and 18 lessons, each lasting between five and ten minutes, taught by professors from several NOVA faculties. The flexible format allows participants to learn at their own pace, with no scheduling constraints.
Throughout the course, key topics are covered for anyone looking to start or develop a project:
- Developing a business plan and an effective pitch
- Approaching clients and partners
- Market analysis and identifying funding opportunities
- Intellectual property protection
- Team profiles and project structuring
- Legal principles for setting up a company
Over 13,000 registrations from around 35 countries
Since its first edition in 2022, the Entrepreneurship Academy has attracted more than 13,000 registrations from around 35 countries, reflecting the global reach of the initiative and the growing interest in entrepreneurial skills.
“This course demonstrates NOVA’s commitment to developing entrepreneurship skills not only within the NOVA community, but also from a broad social and geographical perspective”, says Isabel Rocha, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Value Creation and Global Affairs at NOVA University Lisbon.
The initiative is co-funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), reinforcing NOVA’s commitment to the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of entrepreneurship in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries.
