Research Impact Narratives Challenge: meet the winners of the 3rd edition of the competition here

In 2023, NOVA launched the Research Impact Narratives Challenge, inviting professors and researchers affiliated with any of the university’s academic units to translate the impact of their research projects into narratives.

Considering it imperative that society in general understands and appreciates the results of research activities, and given that, both nationally and Europeanly, innovation funding agencies have given increasing importance to measuring the impact of projects under development, this Research Impact Narratives Challenge was the format chosen for NOVA researchers to do so.

Revealed at the NOVA Science and Innovation Day 2025, the 5 projects distinguished in this third edition of the competition come from different scientific areas. In addition, in this third edition, given the quality of the applications, five Honourable Mentions were also awarded.

At the time of receiving the award, Mauro Castelli was represented by Leonardo Vanneschi, Ricardo Henriques by Mário del Rosário, and Ricardo Jardim Gonçalves by Dr. Maria do Carmo Marques.
