Applications are now open for the EUTOPIA Innovation Challenges for Students, taking place 5–8 May 2026 at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). This year’s edition focuses on the theme “The Sustainable City”.

Organized within the EUTOPIA alliance, the programme invites Bachelor’s and Master’s students from all disciplines enrolled at EUTOPIA partner universities to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and develop innovative solutions to real-world urban sustainability challenges.

During this four-day, in-person programme, participants will work on case-based challenges in areas such as sustainable tourism, sustainable campus development, sustainable movement in schools, and sustainable mobility, in collaboration with external stakeholders. Gothenburg — internationally recognised for its commitment to environmental and social sustainability and its ambition to become climate-neutral by 2030 — provides the context for this year’s challenges.

NOVA University Lisbon will select students to participate, with travel, accommodation and meals fully covered.
