About Eduardo Freire Rodrigues

Eduardo is a Medical Doctor, graduated from NOVA Medical School, who decided to leave the white coat behind and embrace a technology entrepreneurship project, by founding UpHill in 2015 together with two friends. This startup developed a software capable of simulating clinical cases in a real scenario and to present relevant medical information in a more precise, fast and systematic way. A customized software that has been attracting the attention of the medical community and led UpHill to win the ANJE Young Entrepreneur Award in 2016. The UpHill software is already used in 22 private hospitals in Portugal by more than 60 thousand health professionals.

After launching UpHill, Eduardo did a Post-Graduation in Information Management and Business Intelligence in Health at NOVA IMS and participated in a research program from Harvard Medical School. He is since 2016 invited assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School and a former member of Health Parliament Portugal. Eduardo is enrolled in several mentoring activities at the national and international levels.
