Fernanda Llussá holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Business Economics MSc at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-SP, Brazil). In 2009, Fernanda held a visiting position at the Deshpande Entrepreneurship Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Llussá is currently an Assistant Professor at FCT NOVA. Several students of Prof. Llussá have gone on to develop new businesses one of which, in a project where Prof. Llussá is involved, was distinguished in 2009 with a second place in the Richard Branson innovation prize, received finance from EDP, and is well underway to become a successful start-up having recently raised more than 1 million euros from venture capital and business angel.
