For the past 5 years Marco Silva has been part of the Microsoft Consulting Services Portuguese Team, working mainly in the Telco and Retail Industries and building some of the coolest things for these customers. As Digital Advisor his work consists of challenging customers with new ideas and ways for them to take the most out of technology, which for Marco makes this one of the best jobs in the world. Marco’s academic background as an Engineer specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics made him specially tailored to address digital challenges that customers are facing in transforming their businesses by levering technologies such as Data Mining and Machine Learning, Cognitive Intelligence, and of course Mixed, Augmented and Virtual Reality. He is also teaching the Data Mining and Machine Learning course at the Data Science and Business Analytics Post Graduation at ISEG, being a professional speaker with more than 10 years of experience speaking in different national and international events. He is also the President of a nonprofit organization called DICE Cultural, an association focused on creating more awareness around modern board games, which is also a way for Marco to give back to the community and to a hobby he loves so much. Recently, Marco launched, in partnership with Vitor Santos from NOVA IMS, the Building the Future AI Portugal Podcast, of which he is founder and coordinator.
