NEON ART CONSERVATION
NEON ART CONSERVATION was born in 2018, with five conservator-restorers who ambitioned to develop their activity in the safeguarding of modern and contemporary art.
NEON aims to fill the gap in the current panorama of conservation of unconventional materials such as plastics, rubbers and photographs, among others. It also offers solutions for traditional materials and supports such as paintings and paper. With the support of the Department of Conservation and Restoration from FCT NOVA, NEON relies on scientific research and knowledge of the materials as a ground for the development of a rigorous and demanding work, responding to the challenges launched by the 20th and 21st centuries’ heritage. NEON team’s mission is the preservation of cultural heritage through the provision of reliable technical services and the development of innovative solutions. Additionally, the company aims at contributing to the material, technical and artistic knowledge about modern and contemporary art, enhancing the conservator-restorer professional activity.
