Magycal is a company created based on co-founder Pedro Centieiro’s Ph.D. at FCT NOVA. It was created to revolutionise how people connect and interact with TV shows and live events through highly innovative mobile applications.
It specializes in the development of OTTs, Second Screen Apps and Interactive Digital Solutions in the entertainment sector. Its products offer a range of social and interactive experiences, providing its partners with a unique tool for engaging their audiences. Its technology makes it possible to generate new revenue, both from targeted and geolocalized advertising campaigns and from in-app purchases and subscriptions that can be acquired by the user through various means of payment.
Magycal, which is 100% Portuguese, began its pioneering activity with the development of an app for superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and since then its portfolio has continued to grow. It has major national and international clients and partners, such as SPORT TV, Gestifute, TVI, CNN, Canal Panda, SIC Notícias, Opto SIC, Kaltura, Unitel, Theo Player and NOVA School of Science and Technology.
