Circular Dichroism – Applied Photophysics Chirascan qCD spectrometer
Modern and powerful device that allows fast and sensitive analysis. Additionally, the SX20 Stopped Flow accessory allows CD and absorbance stopped-flow measurements of high sensitivity.

Differential Scanning Calorimetry – TA Nano DSC
Powerful thermal scanning instrument that utilizes a 300 µL capillary cell design and solid-state thermoelectric temperature control to provide unmatched performance.

Flow Cytometry – Attune Acoustic Focusing Cytometer
2-laser (red and blue), 6-colours system that uses ultrasonic waves in combination with hydrodynamic forces allowing the collection of more photons for high-precision analysis at superior volumetric sample throughput.

MicroScale Thermophoresis – NanoTemper technologies Monolith NT.115 (BLUE/RED)
Measures biomolecular interactions providing a broad application range to detect interactions between any type of biomolecules and for pM to mM binding affinities.

Multi Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance – Bionavis SPR Navi 200
Improved and versatile system, that uses an increased angular scan range to produce a complete SPR curve, enabling new insights into interactions. This increased angular range also allows the characterization of the interactions of surfaces with analytes, with molecular weights ranging from a few Da to several kDa, in the gas or liquid phases.

The microscale thermophoresis equipment is the only one available in Portugal and measures a broad range of binding affinities in-solution, using very little sample in close-to-native conditions.

The MP-SPR device is the only MP-SPR in the country equipped with a gas flow cell, unlike traditional SPR, our MP-SPR can work with gas and vapour samples. It can be used to fine-tune sensitive coatings for specific gas components.
