Mario Chessa is a passionate marketer who has covered various leadership roles in the sales and marketing field both in the Hospitality and Nautical Industry. He has developed a strong expertise in cross industry marketing partnerships in the luxury segment.

In his years as Starwood’s Regional Sales & Marketing Director for Italy & Central Mediterranean, he was responsible for leading the cluster and individual hotel teams. GOR revenue for his region, comprising 45 hotels, amounted to € 450.000.000.

A commercial leader with global experience across the sales and marketing spectrum ranging from brand management and loyalty program leadership, customer relationship management, digital marketing as well as distribution strategy. His particular interest in innovative, unconventional marketing has led him to implement various cross industry-marketing activities, in particular in the luxury segment.

He enjoys leading global teams and innovation with purpose, focusing on what is new and next, adding value to customers in unique and interesting ways, whilst strengthening the foundations and capability of an organization. His cross-industry approach ultimately ‘sailed’ him into the nautical industry, working for one of the leading yacht manufacturers in the world, namely the Ferretti Group, featuring iconic brands such as Riva, Pershing and Ferretti. He also founded ChessaConnect, a Marketing company specialized in brand and partner marketing with a focus on the hospitality and luxury industries.  He is currently spearheading the Nova Hospitality & Tourism Platform as Executive Director.
